Hey all. I have a new craft/personal essay featured today at one of my favorite literary journals/websites.
"What is Possible" examines the differences between longform and flash fiction, my own creative growth, and mentions some of my favorite contemporary flash fiction writers.
You can read my essay here.
Thank you so much to Virgie Townsend and Annie Bilancini for reaching out and letting me contribute to such a great conversation, hosted by a journal I've admired for many years. The previous entries have been written by some of my favorite people: Georgia Bellas, Leesa Cross-Smith, and others. I can't wait to see this project evolve more this year. "Why Flash?" has already sparked so many ideas and hypotheses for flash fiction, and I hope my entry does the same.
