Edward Williams: Photographer and Videographer

There comes a time in every writer's life when selfies just don't cut it. Luckily, my best friend is a talented photographer. I usually hate photographs of myself, and not for unnecessarily vain reasons: when I smile for photos, my eyes sometimes look like they're different sizes. Plus, having these professional shots done didn't feel selfish; the afternoon felt productive.

These are two of my favorite results from the session. My absolute favorite one is being saved for future publications that use author photos (hell, it actually inspired me to work toward placing work in one of my favorite literary journals, half to have my work there, and half to have one of Edward's photos accompany it). And if this novel-in-progress ever finds its way into physical/paper/holy crap you can buy this! form, I'll be using Edward for the jacket copy photo.

Do you live in Chicago? Are you looking for photography/videography work? Are you taken with these handsome photos? Give Eddie a buzz. His beautiful website is here.

We're working on some video projects, and it's been great to break out of my shell and create in different forms. Stay tuned.
